Kampala, Uganda | THE BLACK EXAMINER | The marking process for both the Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) and Primary Leaving Examination (PLE) papers has been initiated by the Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB).
This year, a total of 364,470 candidates sat for the UCE, while 749,347 candidates took the PLE across the country.
Jennifer Kalule Musamba, the UNEB Principal Public Relations, addressed the media at Police Headquarters in Naguru this morning. She highlighted that 33 marking centers have been designated for the exercise, with 13 allocated for PLE and 20 for UCE and UACE examinations.

Kalule mentioned that approximately 8,000 examiners have been enlisted for marking the UCE papers, while 6,000 have been invited to mark the PLE level.
She noted that the initial set of results is anticipated to be released in the third week of January 2024.
