Buhweju District | THE BLACK EXAMINER | Police in Buhweju district is holding a son for hacking his 68 year old mother to death over land wrangles.

Martial Tumusiime, the greater Bushenyi regional police spokesperson identified the suspect as Innocent Kakuru who murdered Fridah Katayomba, all residents of Enkoni village Rugongo parish Karungu sub county Buhweju district.

According to police, the body of the deceased was discovered by another son Moses Mugasha who had gone to check on her as she was sickly. On opening her door, he found she had been cut to death and the body lying in a pool of blood, he reported the matter to the local authorities who reported it to police.

Police say the body had two deep cut wounds on the head and in the hands and was taken to Nsiika health center IV for postmortem.

Tumusiime says that it was established that the suspect who had some land wrangles with her mother, had spent two nights in the house before the incident but after the incident, he vanished went hiding.
