Kasese District | THE BLACK EXAMINER | Rwenzururu King, His Majesty Charles Wisley Mumbere Iremangoma, has encouraged nursing students to carry out their responsibilities diligently, emphasizing the importance of professionalism and a patient-centered approach. Speaking to students at Bwera School of Nursing and Midwifery after a recent visit, King Mumbere stressed the significance of maintaining discipline and respecting Bakonzo culture for success in their educational careers.
He urged nurses to exhibit kindness and accommodation towards patients, discouraging unprofessional behavior. The King advised against prioritizing financial considerations over ethics and patient well-being, emphasizing the oath every health worker takes to serve the patient’s best interests.
Ms. Eve Ithungu, the Principal Tutor of Bwera School of Nursing and Midwifery, highlighted the institution’s origin, rooted in a community impact assessment aimed at enhancing healthcare in Kasese district. She requested King Mumbere’s support in securing funding for the institution, which plays a vital role in promoting education among his subjects.
