Upon reaching the house, the police found dozens of students indulging in smoking and other illicit substances. The police took the students into custody and have charged them with drug abuse and disturbing the peace. According to the police spokesperson, Luke Owoyesigyire, the students range in age from 16 to 25 and come from various parts of the country.
The police have also confiscated a large quantity of drugs and other paraphernalia from the scene of the arrest. The incident has raised concerns about the prevalence of drug abuse and underage drinking among students in the area.
The police have urged parents and guardians to keep a close eye on their children and to report any suspicious activity to the authorities. As of now, the arrested students are in police custody and will be prosecuted according to the law.
The police have also indicated that they will conduct further investigations into the matter to identify those behind the organization of the smoking festival.

They are currently in custody at Lubigi police station as efforts are made to locate their parents and engage with their school. The head teacher of Old Kampala Secondary School, William Ssuuna, was unavailable for comment as he did not respond to calls.
