Kampala, Uganda | THE BLACK EXAMINER | The Opposition Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) headquartered in Najjanankumbi is determined to regain all its elective seats in Buganda during the 2026 national elections.

Yesterday, November, 3 the party convened its initial Buganda region leadership meeting at the party’s Najjanankumbi headquarters, with plans to hold similar monthly gatherings in different regions to reunify party members.

Deputy Party President of Buganda Region, Yusuf Nsibambi, stated during a press briefing after the meeting that internal conflicts within the party have been resolved, and they are now focused on a collective agenda to advance the party’s interests.

Nsibambi emphasized that the FDC lost many leadership positions in Buganda due to a lack of political acumen. To rectify this, they have initiated efforts to mobilize party members and secure victories across the country.

However, Nsibambi cautioned that success will only be possible if they unite, including welcoming back the disenchanted Katonga group, to strengthen the FDC at its main headquarters.
