Kampala, Uganda | THE BLACK EXAMINER | Police and sister security agencies have requested additional time to investigate the death of Henry Katanga, a prominent city businessman who died from a gunshot wound in his bedroom in Mbuya, Kampala. His wife, Molly Katanga, was also found unconscious at the scene.
While details of the murder case (under video SD reference: 21/02/11/2023 at Bugolobi Police Station) have not been extensively disclosed by the police, they have asked the public for patience to avoid speculations.
Police spokesperson Fred Enanga emphasized the ongoing investigation and the need for evidence from ballistic and forensic experts. He cautioned bloggers and journalists against spreading unverified information about Henry Katanga’s death.
Despite earlier reports suggesting domestic violence as the cause of death, the police have not yet determined who fired the lethal shot from the recovered pistol at the scene.
Meanwhile, Molly Katanga continues to receive medical treatment at International Hospital Kampala, where she was admitted after the incident.
