Kampala, Uganda | THE BLACK EXAMINER | The Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) has announced the passing of Mr. Darius Mugoye, its second vice president. In a statement dated November 7, 2023, FUFA revealed that Mugoye passed away at Mengo Hospital.

The statement reads, “It is with our deepest sorrow that we inform the public, delegates, football family, and other stakeholders of the death of our 2nd FUFA Vice President Mr. Mugoye Darius that occurred this morning, Tuesday, 7th November 2023 at Mengo Hospital.”

According to FUFA spokesperson Mr. Ahmed Hussein, Mugoye had been battling illness at Mengo Hospital for less than two weeks.

Mugoye has been in office under FUFA President Moses Magogo since 2013 and began a new term after being elected by FUFA delegates in Moroto earlier this year.

The Federation has not yet announced details of the burial arrangements.
